The Rosa Hagin Memorial Fund honors the role that Dr. Rosa Hagin (1921 - 2014) played in developing awareness of and educational interventions for young children who may struggle with learning discorders. Dr. Hagin also had a significant impact on the founding of NILD and it's educational philosophy and therapy interventions. Dr. Hagin is the co-author of SEARCH&TEACH and was developed with child psychiatrist Archie Silver, M.D. (1917 - 2010).
“The strength of SEARCH & TEACH is in early intervention. This twofold approach offers educators an effective tool for catching learning disorders at the beginning of a child's academic career, before the downward spiral of failure begins. With proper and timely identification and intervention, many children can be spared the lifelong consequences of learning disorders.” -- Rosa A. Hagin, Ph.D.
